Anaheim : Fullerton Man, 73, Hit, Killed by Car
A 73-year-old Fullerton man who authorities say was jaywalking across Lincoln Avenue was killed when he was struck by a car late Saturday.
The victim, identified by police as Cecil Eugene Attig, 73, was walking across Lincoln Avenue just west of Illinois Street about 6:30 p.m. when he was struck by a car, Anaheim police said.
Attig was taken by Anaheim Fire Department paramedics to UCI Medical Center in the City of Orange, where he was pronounced dead at 7:06 p.m.
The driver of the car, a 48-year-old Anaheim man, was neither cited nor held pending further investigation, police said.
