First-Place Honors for No. 1 Columnist

About a year ago you published my letter to the editor in which I said that I was dismayed that your columnist, Al Martinez, had been named the second-best columnist in the United States.

I went on to say that he should have been chosen No. 1.

I had no idea how widely read your letters to the editor column is, nor, I must say, how influential.

For, as I note in your issue of March 17, Martinez has now been chosen No. 1!
