A default judgment in a $1-million fraud suit against political extremist Lyndon H. LaRouche Jr. has been entered in a Contra Costa County Superior Court. The ruling--issued because LaRouche failed to respond to the suit--was on behalf of Jean Rozelle, who had charged that agents of LaRouche used psychological warfare to extort $30,000 from her in 1986. Another hearing will be set to determine any damage award. The suit said that agents for LaRouche hounded Rozelle for contributions with around-the-clock telephone calls and personal visits. She said she gave one man $5,000 after he told her he would not come back if she gave him the money, but the visits continued.
