Michael W. Hogarty has been named president and chief executive officer of Mama Mia Inc., an Irvine-based maker of frozen pizza, and its subsidiary International Food & Beverage Inc. He succeeds Richard Damion, who assumed the newly created position of chairman of Mama Mia and International Food & Beverage. Most recently, Hogarty was president of the Midwest and Eastern subsidiaries of Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream. He also was president of Thomas’s English Muffin Co., a subsidiary of CPC International. Mama Mia, which markets its products to the food-service industry, had sales of about $2 million in the year ended June 30, 1987.
