LOS ANGELES COUNTY - News from April 7, 1988
Sue Mengers has been named a senior vice president of the William Morris Agency and worldwide head of its motion picture and literary division. The position had been vacant since the death of Stan Kamen in 1986, a Morris spokesman said.
Mengers, 50, was regarded as one of Hollywood’s top talent agents before she left International Creative Management in 1986. Her clients included Barbra Streisand, Cybill Shepherd, Robin Williams and Roman Polanski.
The Morris spokesman said Mengers, who hasn’t worked as an agent since leaving ICM, expects to build a client list “from scratch.” She will be based in Beverly Hills.
