Lakers No. 1! : Mike DeCarle Named to U.S. All-Star Team

Scoring punch--When the ice chips finally settled after the NCAA Division I College Hockey Championships last weekend at Lake Placid and upstart Lake Superior State beat St. Lawrence, 4-3, in overtime to skate off with its first national title, Mike DeCarle of West Covina was named to the All-Tournament Team. The Lakers earlier dropped No. 1 ranked Maine, 6-3, in the semifinal, with DeCarle scoring two of the goals. His 64-point total for the season (27 goals 37 assists) was second highest on the team.
