Local News in Brief : Buena Park : Police Seize Narcotics and Arrest Two Men

Narcotics officers arrested two men in their Buena Park apartment Wednesday and confiscated more than 60 grams of heroin and cocaine, authorities said.

Officers from the Buena Park Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department raided the apartment in the 5600 block of Fullerton Avenue about 5 p.m. and arrested the occupants, Saul Gutierrez, 20, and Serjian Suazo Lopes, 24, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Hal Grant said.

Officers seized 50 grams of heroin, packaged in balloons, with a street value of $5,000, Grant said. They also found 12 grams of cocaine, worth about $1,200 on the street, he said.

Both suspects were booked in the Los Angeles County Norwalk Station on suspicion of possession of narcotics for sale, Grant said. They were being held in lieu of $20,000 bonds.

Authorities released no details of the investigation that led to the arrests.
