* 1/2 “Bobby Riggs: Ageless Tennis.” Academy. $19.95.
As wondrous as it is to see an agile, 68-year-old Bobby Riggs still hustling around the court, it’s much less of a wonder to watch his 40-minute videotape. Subtitled “You’re Never Too Old to Stay Young,” it’s aimed at senior tennis players. Riggs, who defined the art of the tennis hustle with his victory over Margaret Court in 1973, offers few tips and lots of bromides for the skilled player. The vintage Riggs only appears well into this tape in a short section about handicapping an uneven match, such as giving an opponent the doubles alley or placing chairs in the middle of the court. But like his ultimate Ms.-match with Billie Jean King six months after defeating Court, this tape goes down as a loss for the serious tennis and fitness buff--no matter how old or young.
