Alcoholism

I strongly urge Fingarette to attend a series of ACA meetings (Adult Children of Alcoholics) to witness firsthand how the matter of what he calls a simple choice has robbed generations of people--all ages--of their childhoods.

If the act of drinking for all those years by an alcoholic parent, spouse, etc. is just a matter of a reluctance on their part to be moderate, then the disease is even more perverse than the definition given it by the medical profession. Anyone who would go on for a lifetime robbing a family of its spirit--imprisoning partners and children in emotional hell by “choice”--is a sick person indeed.
