San Diego
The San Diego Police Department is asking for help in locating a hit-and-run driver who struck a 51-year-old man in a crosswalk Thursday night, San Diego Police Department spokesman Dave Cohen said.
Max Redding of San Diego suffered a broken leg and pelvis in the accident, and was listed in satisfactory condition at Sharp Memorial Hospital Friday.
Reddings was hit while crossing at 25th and Island streets at 9:20 p.m. by a driver who then fled the scene in a light-colored compact car, Cohen said.
He added that, while the intersection was not marked, it was a legal crosswalk.
Cohen said the left front fender and hood of the car were damaged. Anyone with information about the vehicle should contact the Police Department at 531-2675.
