FILING LATE? HERE’S WHERE TO GO
Eight post offices in Los Angeles County will remain open until midnight on Friday, April 15, to accommodate people pushing the deadline for filing state and federal income tax returns. After 5 p.m., uniformed postal employees will stand outside the main entrances of the post offices with large baskets or bags to collect the IRS-bound mail. The Postal Service’s postal information hotline, (213) 586-1467, also will remain open from 8 a.m. to midnight on Friday to direct people to the nearest of the open-until-midnight post offices.
