Paramount : Weldon Chosen as Mayor
In the reorganizational meeting of the Paramount City Council, Councilman Charles R. Weldon was selected mayor and Councilman Henry Harkema chosen vice mayor. Weldon has served on the council since 1978. Harkema was elected in 1986. Last year’s mayor was Manuel Guillen.
Councilwoman Esther C. Caldwell and Councilman Gerald A.Mulrooney, who were both reelected to the council in last week’s election, were officially sworn in to start their new terms.
