An electrical short started a fire Tuesday that caused $225,000 in damage to a three-story condominium complex near Mission Gorge Road, a San Diego Fire Department spokesman said.

An unidentified fire captain suffered a minor shoulder injury in the noon blaze in the 3000 block of Mission Mesa Way. He was not hospitalized.

Firefighters from San Diego and Santee responded to the blaze, which apparently started in a common wall between two condominium units.
