Cubic Corp. reported a record high backlog, improved earnings and increased revenue for the second quarter ended March 31. Net income rose by 11% to $2.3 million, up from $2 million during the previous second quarter. Revenue rose by 4% to $92.9 million, up from $88.7 million a year ago.
Net income rose by 1% to $4.6 million for the six-month period ended March 31. Revenue rose by 2% to $180 million, up from $176 million for the like period a year ago.
Backlog on March 31 rose by 64% to $369 million, up from $225 million a year ago.
