In light of violent acts of “revenge” against co-workers such as the shooting aboard a PSA jet in December, I was appalled by your publication of Wayne Curtis’ Viewpoint column.

It was point No. 3, “Don’t avoid revenge; savor it,” that made me boil. It advised: “If done with wit and verve, well-timed and well-crafted revenge can build organizational morale.”

How can such a responsible newspaper publish such a negative, anti-productive, deceitful, Neanderthal notion as encouraging middle managers to seek revenge against “their contemporaries’ incivilities?”
