You’ve heard of eating and running? Well, arch-conservative Orange County squawk show host Wally George has a better idea--eating and yelling in Wally George’s Great American Restaurant. George, in a phone interview, said he plans to have his first red, white and blue restaurant open by the end of the year, courtesy of financial backer Bruce McNall, owner of the Los Angeles Kings. Here’s how George described his new restaurant, which will cater to a young crowd: “I’ll be broadcasting ‘Hot Seat’ and my KLAC radio show live from the restaurant. My waitresses--the George-ettes--will serve Wallyburgers, Olliburgers, Nixonburgers and Reaganburgers and fries, chili and other all-American food. I’ll have huge TV screens and video monitors all around so that we can show videos of ‘Hot Seat.’ ” George also said he’d have music and live rock shows weekly for his patrons, but “not heavy metal, Satanic or drug-oriented” rock. He also plans a bar with “strict enforcement on age.” Enthused George: “I’ve been dreaming about a place like this since I was a high school kid. There’s no way we can fail!”
