6 Lions Honored by WCAC Coaches

Six Loyola Marymount University baseball players were selected to the All-West Coast Athletic Conference squad by conference coaches at the WCAC meeting Thursday in Reno.

The Lions’ first-team selections were second baseman Carl Fraticelli, an All-WCAC shortstop two years ago, third baseman Don Sparks, outfielder Brian Turang and designated hitter Miah Bradbury.

Players picked to the second team were outfielder Travis Tarchione and pitcher Darryl Scott. Tarchione was honored on the second team last year as a designated hitter.

LMU, still awaiting selection to the NCAA postseason tournament, posted a 46-16 overall record and finished third in the WCAC with an 18-6 mark.
