Presidential Election

I could hardly believe my eyes when I read the letters column (April 23)! There, almost word-for-word, was the letter I was composing to send to you. The first sentence was identical. I am referring to the letter regarding selecting the presidential candidates from Paul D. Marks.

Please add my name to the list of people who feel insulted and furious at having the candidates all eliminated--or nearly so--by the time the primary reaches California. Add to this the concern I have regarding the media’s announcement of the winner before the polls are closed! No wonder we have a problem with voter apathy.

If we could have all primaries and caucuses on the same day, it would lower the cost of running for office and give all of us a chance to express our views.
