Local News in Brief : Huntington Beach : Car Strikes Phone Pole; Driver Dead at Scene
A Huntington Beach woman was killed Saturday when she lost control of her car and slammed into a telephone pole, police said.
Niki Frankos, 22, was thrown from her car in the accident about 11 p.m. She was driving south on Gothard Street near Ellis Avenue, Police Lt. Jack Reinholtz said.
Frankos was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
