Fluor Corp.’s engineering and construction subsidiary, Fluor Daniel, was the top engineering contract winner in 1987, according to ENS, an industry publication. Fluor Daniel, based in Irvine, has $8.8 billion in contracts currently under construction, the highest dollar value of contracts in the country. The findings were released last month in an annual ENS survey of the 400 largest engineering construction contractors. Last year, Fluor Daniel placed fourth in the survey.
