Warner Home Video sued United Artists Corp. in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging that UA is trying to renege on aspects of a 10-year agreement to supply the foreign video rights of UA movies to the Warner Communications subsidiary. In particular, Warner claimed foreign video rights to “Rocky V,” and its lawsuit seeks an injunction and unspecified damages if UA grants the foreign video rights to the “Rocky” sequel to any other party. William A. Jones, the general counsel for UA’s parent company, MGM/UA Communications, declined comment.
