Boardroom Business Products of Long Beach may sell up to 7,000 units made up of common stock and debentures from time to time in an offering worth an estimated $7 million, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Proceeds from the offering will be used for its previously announced acquisition of Omni Micro Inc., which operates retail stores in Indiana and Illinois, to repay debt and for general corporate purposes. Each unit will consist of $1,000 worth of convertible subordinated debentures due 1998 and an undetermined number of common shares, according to the filing.

Boardroom markets microcomputer systems and related equipment to corporations, and operates six IBM product retail stores.
