Assessing Dukakis, Bush and Jackson
I am at a loss to understand the current hue and cry about over “dull” front-running presidential candidates and their “boring” campaigns.
Do the press and the American people really think the purpose of a presidential campaign is to entertain us? Do they really think the primary requisites of the President of this country are charisma and the ability to excite?
Let’s try content, character and the ability to execute for a change.
