CHICAGO — Donna Hanson, the Catholic lay woman of Spokane, Wash., who addressed Pope John Paul II on his visit last fall and urged fuller attention to women’s concerns, has been awarded the U.S. Catholic Award by the national magazine, U.S. Catholic.
