Society on Aging Elects Torres-Gil
Dr. Fernando Torres-Gil, a USC gerontologist, has been elected president-elect of the American Society on Aging. He will serve until March, 1990, then begin a two-year term as president.
The ASA, with more than 7,000 members, is a professional association working with and for the aged. The ASA’s primary mission is to disseminate information on aging through 20 professional educational and training programs per year and through two publications, the quarterly journal “Generations,” and the bimonthly newspaper, “The Aging Connection.”
