Los Angeles County operates 25 beaches along the county’s 76 miles of shoreline. The county-run beaches take up about 35 miles of that shoreline, their lengths ranging from the .3 miles of the tiny beach at Avalon on Catalina Island to the 3.7 miles of Dockweiler Beach, which stretches along the coast adjoining Los Angeles International Airport. The beaches are listed from north to south.
