Augello Takes Job as CSUN Assistant

Bob Augello, the cross-country and assistant track coach at Granada Hills High for five seasons, has been hired as an assistant cross-country and track coach at Cal State Northridge.

Augello, 32, led the Highlanders to a second-place finish in last year’s City Section cross-country championships and coached Ian Alsen, one of the finest distance runners in the nation.

Augello was also an assistant with the U. S. pentathlon team in 1979 and 1981.
