Unplanned A-Attack Siren Wakes Up a Startled Town

MT. LEBANON, Pa. —
Residents of this Pittsburgh suburb got an unexpected wake-up call when a siren reserved for a nuclear attack was accidentally activated. About 30 people among the town’s 34,000 population called authorities to find out what was going on, Fire Chief Steve Walther said Friday.
