And the current ethnic and political unrest in Yugoslavia and neighboring Albania is finding expression in the huge crowds lining up to see Isa Cosja’s film “The Fog Keepers,” which deals with the persecution of ethnic Albanians living in Yugoslavia by the dominant Serbs during the 1950s, the Associated Press reported Tuesday. Thousands of ethnic Albanians are queuing up in Pristina, capital of Yugoslavia’s troubled Kosovo province, causing tickets for the film to be scalped for many times their face value. The autonomous Kosovo province is the site of tension between majority ethnic Albanians and minority Slavs, thousands of whom flee the province every year saying the Albanians are forcing them to migrate.
