18 Teams in Playoffs

Eighteen high school football teams in the Southeast and Long Beach areas will play at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the first round of the CIF Southern Section playoffs.

Division I--Poly (8-0-1), co-champion of the Moore League, will meet Crespi (5-5) at Wilson High School. Jordan (4-4-1), the other Moore League co-champion, will be host to Mater Dei (5-5). Millikan (5-4), which finished third in the Moore League, will play at 8-2 Bishop Amat. St. Paul (6-4), an at-large team, will be at Rubidoux (8-2).

Division III--Dominguez (9-1), the San Gabriel Valley League champion, will be host to Katella (6-3-1). SGVL runner-up Paramount (8-1) is at home against Hart (6-4). Cerritos (7-2-1), the SGVL’s third-place team, will play at Foothill League champion Schurr (8-2). Warren (6-3-1), an at-large team, will be at 10-0 Mission Viejo.

Division IV--Whitmont League champion Bell Gardens (10-0) will play at home against Arlington (4-6). El Rancho (8-2), the Whitmont’s second-place team, will be host to Wilson of Hacienda Heights (5-5). Montebello (6-4), third in the Whitmont, will be at Los Altos (9-1).

Division VI--Suburban League champion La Mirada (7-3) will be host to Fullerton (5-4-1). Artesia (8-1-1), No. 2 in the Suburban, will be at Anaheim (6-4). Bellflower (8-2), third in the Suburban, will play at Sunny Hills (8-2).

Division IX--Olympic League champion Valley Christian (9-1) is at home against California School for the Deaf of Riverside (4-5). Whittier Christian (8-2), runner-up in the Olympic, will be host to Marshall (7-3). Leffingwell Christian (4-6), first in the Arrowhead League, will host Desert (9-1).
