The recent emergence of Michael Reagan--the President’s adopted son--as a game show host for Ralph Andrews Productions’ “Lingo” has been slowed by a spat between Reagan and Andrews. Reagan alleges that Andrews’s company failed earlier this year to pay him more that $20,000 in back pay, rerun fees and pension and welfare benefits. Ironically, Andrews admits he probably owes Reagan money, but added that Reagan is an “ingrate” and that “no one else (but me) would give him a chance in this town.” Said Reagan, adopted son of Ronald Reagan and ex-wife Jane Wyman: “Andrews couldn’t tell the truth if his mother’s life depended on it.” Barring a settlement, the matter will be decided early next year by an arbitration board at the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
