Vance L. Clark, head of the Farmers Home Administration for more than three years, has resigned, the Agriculture Department agency said Wednesday.

President Reagan named Clark, of Fresno, to the FmHA job in July, 1985. He had worked for 42 years for Bank of America, most recently before his appointment as regional senior vice president in California.

Sox Johnson, acting associate administrator, has taken over as acting administrator of the agency.
