Apple Computer Hopes Film Will Pull Plug on Leaks

Apple Computer Inc. has produced a short film for new employees on the dangers of loose lips.

The film, which began showing this week, stars Chairman and President John Sculley and is aimed at stopping what is referred to as “the leak of the week” at Apple.

The morality play opens with Sculley tossing in his bed, haunted by nightmares of Apple employees shooting off their mouths. One employee casually mentions his latest project to a friend, who tells another friend--and so forth.

The film is “a humorous piece that shows how things can leak out,” said Apple spokeswoman Chris Escher.

The existence of the film was leaked to the San Jose Mercury News.
