Horst W. Schroeder has been named president and chief operating officer of Kellogg Co. The position had been open for two years. Schroeder previously was group executive vice president. Kellogg, with headquarters in Battle Creek, Mich., is the world’s leading maker of ready-to-eat breakfast cereals. Gary E. Costley has been named president of Kellogg’s U.S. food products division and Charles W. Elliott, executive vice president for administration, was named chief financial officer.
