Brown and Harmon Voted Top Players in Angelus League

Servite High School running back Derek Brown and Bishop Amat quarterback Brian Harmon were named most valuable football players of the Angelus League in a vote of the league’s coaches.

Brown established an Orange County single-season rushing record with 2,301 yards and finished second behind Ray Pallares of Valencia among the county’s career rushing leaders with 4,663 yards. Pallares had 5,398 yards.

Harmon led Bishop Amat to its fourth consecutive Angelus League title. St. Paul quarterback Greg Willig was named the league’s top offensive player and teammate Chuck Ortega was named the top defensive player.
