The third-annual Los Angeles Animation Celebration, which runs Jan. 26-Feb. 3 at the Wadsworth and Nuart theaters in West Los Angeles, will open with the world premiere of “Felix the Cat: The Movie” (Hungary), directed by Don Oriolo. Other new animated features debuting at the festival include “When the Wind Blows” (England), “Heroic Times” (Hungary) and “Robot Carnival” (Japan). In addition, the festival will offer salutes to director Don Bluth (“The Land Before Time”), Soviet animator Feodor Khitruk, Czech artist Jan Svankmejer and former Disney artists David Hand and Art Babbitt.
