Amal Fires Rockets on Israeli Settlements

TEL AVIV — Several Soviet-made Katyusha rockets were fired from southern Lebanon at Jewish settlements in Israel’s northern Galilee, an army spokesman said Friday.
The rockets, fired Thursday night, did not cause any damage or injuries, the spokesman said.
In Beirut, the pro-Syrian Shia Muslim Amal militia said it fired the rockets in retaliation for an Israeli helicopter raid on an Amal base in Lebanon earlier on Thursday.
