MANILA — An American facing indictment in the United States for allegedly mailing a pistol to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis will be deported from the Philippines, officials said today.
Immigration intelligence chief Maj. Wilfredo Pabalan said authorities arrested Roger Simpson, 45, described as an economist from Los Angeles, on Dec. 2 in the central city of Iloilo. He is accused of mailing to President John F. Kennedy’s widow a small package containing a .38-caliber revolver, 50 bullets, gloves and other clothing in March, 1985.
