The Colleges : Fullerton Coasts in League Opener With 80-45 Win
The Fullerton College women’s basketball team opened its Orange Empire Conference schedule with an 80-45 victory over Rancho Santiago Wednesday at Fullerton.
Heidi Shikuma led Fullerton (17-1) with 14 points and Kelli Johnson added 12. Every Fullerton player scored.
Fullerton jumped to a 10-0 lead 5 minutes into the game and was never in trouble. Pam Murray led Rancho Santiago with 15 points.
In another Orange Empire game:
Golden West 111, Riverside 54--Five players scored in double figures for the Rustlers at Golden West. Claudette Jackson scored 19, Kim Wilson and Lori Totosz scored 18, Donna Gondringer had 14 and DeeDee Stigar added 11 for Golden West (7-14, 1-0). Golden West led at halftime, 45-24.
