Saddleback Stuns Riverside, 53-48
Freshman forward Vincent Mason scored 20 points to lead Saddleback College to a 53-48 upset of Riverside in an Orange Empire Conference game Saturday at Saddleback.
Mason scored Saddleback’s last six points, including two free throws on a 1-and-1 with 47 seconds left and two more with 10 seconds left. Mason also finished with 12 rebounds as Saddleback (8-10, 1-1) outrebounded Riverside, 32-13.
Bobby Joyce scored 12 points for Riverside (16-8, 1-1), which was ranked fifth in this week’s Southland poll. Saddleback was unranked.
