An Israeli-appointed official in the occupied West Bank town of Qalqiliya was stabbed in the head in the third attack in a week on Palestinians suspected of ties with Israel. Town councilor Yussef Mohammed Milhem, 45, survived the attack, which followed calls in underground leaflets to punish collaborators and force Israeli-appointed Palestinian officials to resign. West Bank village leader Mahmoud Abdullah Hamoudah, 67, was slain on Friday, and earlier in the week Bassam Barameh, 25, of Jericho was shot to death. Both were suspected of collaboration. Meanwhile, in the West Bank town of Janin, attackers hurled two Molotov cocktails into the offices of Israeli-owned Bank Leumi, slightly wounding at least five employees, Israel Radio reported.
