MISTLETOE (Phoradendron flavescens): This semi-parasitic green plant, popularized in holiday traditions, occurs as a drooping yellowish evergreen bush on the branch of a host tree. The white berries of the plant, consumed by fruit-eating birds without ill effect, are poisonous to humans and other animals.
