Spring Valley
A 75-year-old Spring Valley woman who was reported missing for more than 13 hours was found Thursday morning, taken to AMI Valley Medical Center in El Cajon and released in stable condition, authorities said.
San Diego County sheriff’s deputies said Margaret Daigle, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, apparently wandered from her home in the 9700 block of Lamar Street at about 2 p.m. Her roommate reported Daigle missing about 4:40 p.m. Wednesday.
A preliminary search of the area was unsuccessful, and search-and-rescue reserve deputies and a helicopter unit were called in at 11 p.m., the Sheriff’s Department said. Daigle was found at 6 a.m. Thursday in the back yard of a residence in the 9500 block of Lamar Street.
Sheriff’s deputies said she appeared to be in good condition but was sent to the medical center for observation.
