Local News in Brief : Anaheim : Beating Victim Dies at UCI Medical Center
A 23-year-old Corona man who had been hospitalized after being beaten in Anaheim died early Sunday, police said, and an Anaheim man already in custody was arrested as a suspect in his murder.
The victim was identified as Ramon Majia-Rios, 23, of Corona, Anaheim Police Lt. Vince Howard said. Majia-Rios died at 1 a.m. at UCI Medical Center.
Majia-Rios had been found unconscious and sprawled on the pavement in the 1100 block of West Lincoln Avenue at 12:10 a.m. Saturday, Howard said.
Dwayne Anthony Love, 27, of Anaheim, who had been arrested in the case Saturday, is now held on suspicion of murder, Howard said.
