Local News in Brief : Santa Ana : Pedestrian Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver
An unidentified pedestrian was struck and killed early Monday by a hit-and-run driver while crossing East 4th Street in Santa Ana, police said.
The victim was described as a Latino man of about 30 to 35 years of age, who was wearing a black-cloth jacket, blue jeans and brown wing-tip shoes. The man was walking across the 1000 block of East 4th Street about 1:48 a.m. Monday, when he was knocked down by a car and dragged 100 feet, Santa Ana Police Sgt. Collie Provence said.
The driver fled the scene, and there was no description of the car, Provence said.
