During the first 11 months of 1988, 10,345 permits for single-family homes were issued in the county, a 20% increase from the comparable period for 1987. While the most conspicuous growth was in the unincorporated areas, the number of permits in the cities of Yorba Linda and Huntington Beach also rose significantly.
