DUESSELDORF, West Germany — Three West Germans were sentenced Friday to jail terms of up to 10 years for belonging to the outlawed Red Army Faction guerrilla group and bombing a police barracks.
Norbert Hofmeier, Barbara Perau and Thomas Thoene were convicted of membership in a terrorist organization and of carrying out the 1986 attack on a border police base.
A fourth defendant, Thomas Richter, was found guilty only of membership in the underground leftist group.
The court sentenced Hofmeier to 10 years in prison, while Perau and Thoene received nine years and Richter four.
