Murray’s Nostalgic Words Recall Story About Yaz
Jim Murray’s nostalgic words about the Hall of Fame’s Carl Yastrzemski brought to mind a yarn I heard during the recent Dukakis campaign. A Boston University graduate told me that Carl Yastrzemski was once asked if he had ever thought about changing his name.
Yaz thought a moment, then firmly nodded affirmatively. When asked what his changed name would be, Yaz replied: “Bob Yastrzemski.”
