Empire of America Federal Savings Bank named...
Empire of America Federal Savings Bank named Bette F. Rempp as divisional president of its 17-branch California operation, which is based in Woodland Hills.
Rempp previously was administrative vice president for the division, and she succeeds Peter A. Carr, who resigned to pursue other interests, said Empire of America, a Buffalo-based thrift with assets of $11.6 billion.
Before joining Empire in 1986, Rempp was a financial consultant and spent seven years as an officer of Investment Savings & Loan Assn. in Woodland Hills.
