Work Completed on First McDonnell Center Facility
Construction has been completed on the first structure in the 52-acre McDonnell Center business park, a mixed-use complex rising in Santa Ana.
The $32-million, newly completed building will serve as corporate headquarters for McDonnell Douglas Computer Systems Co. The 360,000-square-foot structure at 1801 St. Andrew Place, was designed by Newport Beach-based Howard F. Thompson Associates Inc. and encompasses 8.5 acres under one roof.
The entire business park, being developed by McDonnell Douglas Realty Co., is expected to have six buildings with a combined 2 million square feet of office, manufacturing, research-and-development and distribution space when completed in 1995.
